CLEVELAND — Undercover Cleveland police detectives busted multiple men involved in a prostitution ring.
Police said at 7 p.m. detectives were in the area of West 65th Street and Lorain Avenue to enforce laws prohibiting prostitution.
During the operation, nine males were arrested or cited for soliciting prostitution.
Police said they have received complaints regarding prostitution in that area for months.
“Policing is a partnership and the community is our eyes and ears,” said Cleveland Police Chief Calvin D. Williams. “With tips from residents, we are able to construct plans to combat crime in our neighborhoods. We hope that members of our community will see how this partnership is effective and continue to assist our investigators by providing information.”
