A man accused of shooting and killing 5-month-old Aavielle Wakefield pleaded not guilty in court Wednesday.

Davon Holmes, 19, was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service and the Cleveland Police Department for the homicide, which occurred at East 145th Street and Spear Avenue on Oct. 1. Holmes was arrested on Nov. 27.

Holmes' bond was set at $2 million. He is expected to appear in court again next week.

Lawrence Hilliard was also arrested in connection with this case, wanted by Cleveland police for tampering with evidence. He was arrested in the same location as where the shooting took place.
