Cleveland Metroparks and Cleveland Fire Department have recovered the body of a 13-year-old boy from Lake Erie Sunday afternoon.
The body was found floating 700 feet from shore by an off-duty Cleveland Fire Chief around 5 p.m. A search team with the fire department, along with the Cleveland Metroparks Marine Unit found the body.
The body of the boy was identified as Shaud Howell, 13, of Cleveland, who went missing Friday evening from Edgewater Beach when he was swimming, according to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office.

The family of the boy was at the scene when the body was recovered from the water.
