Cleveland Council questions police about Tamir Rice shooting

Cleveland are holding a special safety committee meeting Wednesday to talk about the shooting incidents that occurred this past weekend, including the shooting death of 12-year-old Tamir Rice and the five people killed on East 92nd Street.

Cleveland council members questioned police officials about the Rice shooting. 

Police Chief Calvin Williams will also addressing the deployment plan by police per district including:

• Police personnel staffing formula that is used to determine staffing levels for each district

• Downtown safety and security plan, which includes casino security operations

• Police specialty units, role and functions, including traffic enforcement

• Police dispatch and response time

Cleveland police are expected to release the video of the Rice shooting at 1 p.m. and release the name of the officers involved.
