CLEVELAND — Cleveland police released their crime stats for 2020 which showed an increase in homicides.
In 2020, the homicide rate was up 42% compared to 2019.
Cleveland reported a total of 175 homicides last year. In 2019, the city reported 123.
Assault, grand theft auto, and arson were also higher in 2020.
Rape, robbery, burglary, and theft were down in 2020.
