Cleveland man killed in motorcycle crash on I-71

A 38-year-old Cleveland man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 71 early Saturday.

Police said the man was operating a Suzuki GSX750F on the West 150th exit ramp at an excessive speed in wet conditions when he lost control and went off the road, hitting a sign post.

The man—identified as 38-year-old Jeffrey Knight—and his passenger were both ejected from the motorcycle.

Knight was taken to Fairview Hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

The 33-year-old passenger was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center with serious injuries. Her condition at this time is unknown.
