CLEVELAND — Cleveland police and homicide detectives arrived at Mayor Frank Jackson's home Wednesday night in connection to a fatal shooting on Cleveland's West Side.

Police say witnesses at the scene of the fatal shooting on Clark Avenue provided investigators with a license plate number of a vehicle seen leaving the scene.

Police ran that license plate number and found it was registered to one of Jackson's grandsons.

Authorities went to Jackson's home to find that car. A vehicle was towed from the scene.
