CLEVELAND — An 11-year-old girl has been hospitalized after she was shot in the arm in Cleveland Monday, according to a spokesperson for the Cleveland Division of Police.

The victim’s mother told police that it happened at East 28th Street and Cedar Avenue when someone fired a shot at two men who were arguing outside.

The girl was taken by private vehicle to MetroHealth Medical Center for a gunshot wound injury to the arm.

Cleveland police said since they do not have any calls for shots fired in the area, the location of the shooting and the circumstances surrounding it are still being investigated.
