Two people are dead after Cleveland Police say gunfire rang out along Interstate 90 westbound around 7:20 p.m. Saturday.
The victims were driving in the west bound lanes of the freeway near W. 117 when someone in another vehicle opened fire.
Police said both of the victims had gunshot wounds to their head and body.
A third victim was injured from the shooting. According to authorities, a 24-year-old woman was grazed in the stomach while stopped at the off ramp. She then drove herself to the Shell gas station at W. 117 and Franklin Avenue in Lakewood and called 911. Cleveland EMS transported her to MetroHealth in stable condition.
The Ohio Department of Transportation closed down the exit ramp to W. 117 as police investigated. The ramp has since been re-opened.
The suspect vehicle could possibly be gray, according to Cleveland Police.
The department's Homicide Unit is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call investigators at 216-623-5464.
