CLEVELAND — Sunday marks 44 years since the Edmund Fitzgerald sank near Whitefish Point in Michigan.
Twenty-nine men died that day.
The Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum at Whitefish Point will toll the raised bell of the Edmund Fitzgerald 29 times to honor the men that died.
The U.S. Coast Guard Great Lakes will go live on Facebook at 7 p.m. for anyone that wants to watch the ceremony.
The bell is only rung once a year.
