After having undergone a top-to-bottom cleaning following the deaths of several dogs last week, the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter is set to reopen on Saturday.

According to county officials, the five stray dogs that died were infected with parvovirus. Parvo is a highly contagious gastrointestinal illness that is spread through feces or direct contact.
