Eight Cleveland recreation centers will have extended hours during heat wave

CLEVELAND — Cleveland recreation centers will have extended hours during the heat wave.

The city announced eight recreation centers will be opened until 11 p.m. through Saturday.

The recreation centers that will be open are:

  • Lonnie Burten at 2511 East 46th Street
  • Zelma George at 3155 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard
  • Thurgood Marshall at 8611 Hough Avenue
  • Fairfax at 2335 East 82nd Street
  • Earle B Turner at 11300 Miles Avenue
  • Michael Zone at 6301 Lorain Avenue
  • Cudell at 1910 West Boulevard
  • Glenville at 680 East 113th Street

The City of Cleveland's spray basins will remain on through Monday, July 22.
