CLEVELAND — One firefighter received a knee injury while battling a fire on Cleveland East Side Thursday.

Firefighters responded at around 1:30 a.m. to an unoccupied home on East 142th Street in the city's Mt. Pleasant neighborhood.

Smoke billowed from the window of the home as firefighters worked to put out the fire.

The fire caused about $10,000 in damage, according to Lt. Mike Norman, public information officer of the Cleveland Division of Fire.

Norman said on Wednesday, firefighters responded to four structure fires, one RV and car fire.
