Giant Eagle is recalling their smokey mozzarella pasta salad sold inside their stores.

The store said they are doing the recall because of potential Listeria monocytogenes and salmonella contamination related to the red pepper in the salad.

Symptoms of salmonella can happen 12 to 72 hours after eating the product. They include diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fever.

The illness usually lasts four to seven days.

Listeriosis can cause fever, muscle aches, headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance and convulsions.

If you have purchased the salad, you should either dispose of it or return it to your local Giant Eagle.
