CLEVELAND — If you’re voting in Cleveland today and are delivered a free slice of pizza while you’re waiting in line, it may have come from Portland Trail Blazers guard and Canton native CJ McCollum.
McCollum shared on Twitter Tuesday morning that he had contributed to the Pizza to the Polls initiative, a nonprofit that delivers pizza to polling places that are reporting long lines.
Just teamed up with Pizza to the Polls to get meals to voters in Cleveland waiting in long voting lines. See a long line? Let https://t.co/pfXvuoETeq know!" @PizzaToThePolls @SocialChangeFnd #ItTakesAVillage” pic.twitter.com/HBhEKdSDKN

As part of the initiative, food trucks are sent to locations with long lines and free pizza is distributed to hungry voters patiently waiting to make their voices heard at the polls.
Pizza to the Polls finds pizza places near the polls, helping local businesses while also, quite literally, feeding democracy.
McCollum’s donation to the nonprofit will help provide free pizzas to Cleveland voters on Election Day.
