A fight broke out between an Indians fan and a Cubs supporter following the World Series Game 7 in downtown Cleveland.
Cleveland police were flagged down at the corner of Eagle and Ontario, and 36-year-old Alan Anderson reported he was involved in a verbal argument with another man after the game which led to him getting assaulted.
According to witness, Chris Vallimont, Anderson said "You guys just blew a 3-1 lead," and the man replied by saying "Fight me." Anderson then dared the man to hit him, TMZ reported.
In the video Vallimont posted on social media, Anderson can be seen wearing a Chicago Cubs jersey while the man who punched him was wearing a red 'Cleveland Against The World' shirt.
Anderson told police a man punched him in the face and he was briefly knocked out but did not want to file a report. He refused medical treatment at first but then agreed to be taken to MetroHealth Medical Center. He suffered a cut to the mouth and an injury to the head, according to Cleveland police.
Police are still investigating the incident.
