CLEVELAND — A local group is looking for artists and creators to help inspire and create visual expressions and artwork on Cleveland storefronts to help share perspectives of people of color in the community while beautifying buildings.
VoicesofCLE is a public art initiative that is connecting businesses with local artists to help create the visual expressions on the storefront with the intention to “elevate the perspectives and lived experiences” of people of color in Cleveland.
Many business owners in Downtown Cleveland, despite the damage caused to their storefronts by agitators who disrupted the peaceful demonstration, have expressed their support of the recent protests and understanding of the frustration many Americans are feeling. Those businesses have reached out, looking for artists to animate their storefronts while they wait for repairs.
