Bar fight leads to shots fired, 2 hospitalized

Two people were shot after a large fight started at Dailey's Bar on Lorain Road on Thursday, police reported. 

Police said officers responded to Dailey's Bar at 14222 Lorain Rd. around 2:20 a.m. for a large fight that led to gun shots being fired.

As they entered the bar, police said they saw blood both inside and outside of the establishment. A bartender who witnessed the incident stated there was a large fight inside the bar and someone began shooting, but she didn't see the suspect.

While at Fairview Hospital, police spoke with one victim, identified as Andre Wells, 29, who said the fight broke out in the bar and he was shot in the hand. He, too, did not see who was the shooting suspect. Wells said he was taken to the hospital by his girlfriend.

Police spoke with a second victim, identified as Ralph Nichols, 38, who also said the fight broke out in the bar and he was hit in the head with a beer bottle by an unknown person. Then, he was shot by another unknown person. He was the third person to tell police he did not know who was the suspect. 

Detectives are investigating the incident. Further investigation revealed that there are cameras in the bar and detectives are in the process of attempting to obtain possible footage of the incident.
