News 5 is on the scene of a large police presence on Puritas Avenue. Early this morning, Drug Enforcement Administration Agents along with several other law enforcement agencies served three search warrants and three different locations, including one on Puritas Avenue and another on Lorain Avenue.
"We targeted these locations, conducted search warrants, seized numerous amounts of narcotics, currency as well as mad two arrests," said Thomas Gergye, DEA Assistant Special Agent in Charge.
Various emergency responders were at the scene, including HAZMAT, EMS, Cleveland fire, and the DEA.
Hazmat was called in after possible fentanyl exposure at one location and a suspected drug processing lab at another.
News 5's overnight photographer said he saw a person who was stripped naked and hosed down.
The crews on the scene had respirators and white clothing on.
A source told News 5 that HAZMAT was called due to a possible fentanyl exposure.
News 5 has contacted multiple agencies and will update this story once we learn more.
