CLEVELAND — Local advocates looking to spread the love for Valentine’s Day held an event in Cleveland on Saturday called “Love on All Fronts,” distributing freebies to youth in the area to let them know that they are loved.
More than 160 children and teens received goody bags that included hot chocolate, snacks, candy and hygiene kits.
“They need to know that someone cares about them and someone's on their side. They've been through so much this year and so we just wanted to show some love to them,” said Tyra Jackson, founder of the organization The Caring.
The goal of the event was to “create a memorable experience that will impact the hearts and minds of a group that often feels overlooked.”
Love on All Fronts was a collaboration between four organizations: The Missing Link, The Caring, Hands on Health and Even Me Inc.
