A Columbus man wanted for murder was arrested in Cleveland by the U.S. Marshals on Friday.
Mark Anthony Thomas, 28, was located in the 3700 block of Garden Valley Avenue, authorities said.
According to the U.S. Marshals Service, on Oct. 15, Thomas allegedly shot and killed 24-year-old Taquan J. Sprinkle following a road rage incident in Columbus. Authorities said that Thomas shot at Sprinkle's vehicle, striking him in the abdomen and causing him to crash into two parked cars.
Sprinkle was transported to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries, authorities said.
The U.S. Marshals said that following the shooting, Thomas fled to Cleveland to hide out.
Thomas is currently being held in Cuyahoga County Jail awaiting extradition back to Columbus, authorities said.
