Documents filed with the Cleveland Municipal Court Wednesday say the mother who is under investigation for the disappearance of her 5-year-old boy buried him "inappropriately."

The new details were released in the affidavit establishing probable cause for the woman's arrest. She has not been charged with a crime.

The documents also state the corpse "exhibited multiple signs of abuse, including broken ribs."

Remains were found behind the home on Tuesday. The documents say she led police to the boy's corpse.

A 911 call from a tipster led police to the woman's home.

In the call, the man, who said he is in the Air Force and was overseas in Pakistan, told dispatchers that his stepbrother confessed to burying the child in the backyard of his home.

"It's kind of messed up, the whole situation, but my brother told me something and I just can't sleep at night," he said. "I feel like I need to tell you something," he said.
