A 17-year-old is dead after he was shot in the head and back on Longwood and Jellife in Cleveland.
Cleveland Police found 41 shell casings on scene. Residents are frightened.
"My heart, it was beating real fast, I couldn't breathe it was real scary," said Amira Mitchell.
Authorities say the Jerbrel McVery was just outside of 2571 Jellife when the shots rang out. McVery was shot several times and someone inside of the house pulled him in.
Before police arrived, Keisha Smith tried desperately to save the victims life.
"Once I found out where he was bleeding from I applied pressure and then listened to him for his breathing and then I just started the CPR," said Smith.
This is the second shooting in this same CMHA community where children were hurt in a month.
On March 12, a 5-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy were shot by alleged gang members on E. 37th Street and Capers Avenue. Both of those victims survived the drive-by shooting.
