Police investigating after boy accidentally shot by stepfather in Cleveland

CLEVELAND — Cleveland police are investigating after a boy was apparently accidentally shot by his stepfather Saturday morning.

Around 11 a.m., police responded to the 1300 block of West 93rd Street for a report of a shooting.

Once on scene, officers learned that a 9-year-old boy had been shot in the hand and the upper leg, police said.

Police said preliminary information indicates that the boy was accidentally shot by his stepfather.

The incident remains under investigation.
