Cleveland Police are warning westside residents about a string of aggravated robberies involving auto thefts as detectives say 17 such incidents have happened in the last three weeks.

“He said, ‘you want your life or your car?’" recalled Jesus Rosa, a victim. "I let them take the car.”

Rosa said two men approached him outside of his Detroit-Shoreway home on Monday, November 14th in the early afternoon. They first asked for the time, then pulled out a gun and told Rosa to get out of his 2004 Buick LeSabre.

"I was shaking," he said.

He hasn't seen his car since.

"It's not fair to anybody," he added.

Police said a majority of the incidents happened the week of November 14th on streets like Madison, Nicholas and Denison Avenues. They also took place on West 132nd, West 82nd, West 77th, West 89th and West 7th streets, among others.

There have been no arrests, but detectives have released surveillance pictures of two men who they believe are suspects.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the first district detective bureau at 216-623-5118.

“I hope the police catch them and put them where they belong," said Rosa.
