A bus driver who injured a pedestrian last month near Public Square has been fired, according to a statement released by RTA.
The incident happened on Aug. 29 near West Roadway and Superior Avenue.
The driver hit a 61-year-old man who was crossing the street. The man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

An RTA spokesperson called the incident "preventable," and the employee was fired, per company protocol.
The 60-year-old employee had been a driver with RTA since 2005. The employee's termination was effective Sept. 20, according to RTA.
