A small neighborhood shop on Cleveland's west side was hit by smash and grab thieves early Thursday.

A witness told police three or four men used a minivan to knock down the front of the Tompkins corner store in the 2100 block of West 85th Street just before 5 a.m.

Once inside, the suspects wrestled the ATM into the van and took off, leaving a bumper and thousands in property damage.

No suspect descriptions were given and no one was caught.
