These RTA changes could impact your weekend plans

and last updated

Changes to some RTA routes may affect commutes to some popular events this weekend.

On Saturday and Sunday, the RTA Red Line will be shut down between Tower City and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport due to west side construction. The 66R bus will replace train service.

During this time, 66R buses will follow the new west side alignment and will not stop at West 25th and West 65th Street stations. Riders wishing to access these locations can board the #22 Lorain bus.

  • The 66R stop at West Boulevard station is now on Detroit Avenue, not inside the bus loop/station.
  • There is an additional 66R stop on Detroit Avenue-West 65th Street and Detroit Avenue-West 25th Street
  • The stop for Tower City is on West Prospect Avenue at West 3rd Street.

66R buses will stop at all other Red Line stations between the Airport and West Boulevard. Please look for the special orange 66R bus stop signs.

Additionally, 67R buses will also replace trains on the Blue Line between Shaker Square and Warrensville-Van Aken on Saturday and Sunday due to work on overhead wires. Buses will pick up riders at Blue Line stations. There will be special 67R bus stop signs designating each stop. Trains from Tower City and the Waterfront will end at the Green Road stop.
