CLEVELAND — Tom Holland, who got his start to fame starring as Spider-Man, is in Cleveland filming a movie with the Russo brothers and told late-night host Jimmy Kimmel that he has fallen in love with the city and has since become a Browns fan.

Holland has been in Cleveland for the past few months filming the movie “Cherry” which is being directed by Anthony and Joe Russo.

The Spider-Man star was a guest on the ABC late-night talk show “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Wednesday night. Kimmel asked if he enjoyed being in Cleveland and Holland said he was a big fan.

“I love Cleveland, I think Cleveland’s great,” Holland said. "I really like it there."

Kimmel also shared his appreciation for the city during his interview with Holland.

"Cleveland is an underrated city. For some reason, someone decided every time we make fun of a city in America it's going to be Cleveland and it stuck, I don't know how it happened."

While he’s here for business, he’s also taking time to enjoy the fun things Cleveland has to offer, and fitting right into the area—even supporting the Browns.

“Joe and Anthony [Russo] are from Cleveland so they’re big Browns fans, so they’ve been taking us to the Browns games,” Holland said.

Holland might be the Browns' good luck charm because he said since he’s been going to the games, they’ve been winning. The one game he didn’t attend was the Steelers rematch in Pittsburgh, a game the Browns lost. Holland apologized for the loss during the interview.

The Russo Brothers and the cast of “Cherry” have been spotted all over Northeast Ohio while they film the movie.

“Cherry” is based on a true story of a former army medic who struggles with opioid addiction after serving in Iraq, and his subsequent time he spent as a bank robber to support his drug addiction. It stars Holland, Ciara Bravo, who got her start on "Big Time Rush," and Bill Skarsgård from the "IT" movies.
