Cleveland firefighters battled a two-alarm fire in a vacant home at the corner of Broadway and Miles Avenues early Tuesday.

The first call came in around 12:30 a.m. for a house on fire where Miles Avenue runs into Broadway Avenue.

Responding crews called a second alarm for fear that the fire would spread to a large neighboring commercial building.

Cleveland firefighters were able to stop the spread of the flames from the house to the businesses.

The fire caused the roof to collapse in the vacant home which had an auction sign in the front yard.

Fire investigators were on scene to determine the cause.
