Two men from Youngstown have been indicted in Cuyahoga County on a slew of charges for breaking into multiple homes across five counties over the summer, according to authorities.
Robert Duarte, 54, and Stephen Blazo, 54, have been charged with engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, conspiracy, burglary, attempted burglary, theft, grand theft, petty theft and possessing criminal tools, according to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office.
The two men committed 15 robberies at homes in Cuyahoga, Geauga, Medina, Portage and Summit counties between May 24 and July 25, according to authorities. The robberies often took place while residents were away at work during the day.
Duarte and Blazo where arrested by Macedonia police on July 5.
A Portage County judge has already sentenced Duarte to six years in prison for the robberies committed in that county.
Blazo is scheduled to appear in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court on Oct. 17.
