One man has died and another hospitalized after a barrage of bullets rang out in a retail plaza on East 116th Street.

Two men were in the parking lot of City Blue Inc., a local clothing retailer, when police say the shooting began. Both men are in their mid-20s, and police say they were taken to University Hospitals.

One of the men died from gunshot wounds to his chest at the hospital, the other was treated for wounds to the back and leg.

Witnesses at the scene report seeing a vehicle traveling southbound on East 116th that slowed down before someone in the vehicle began firing at victims.

Both men attempted to flee on foot before being struck by the gunfire.

Police are investigating the shooting as a homicide, and no arrests have been made.
