Two out of three people shot in the face in Cleveland this weekend dead

A man was shot in the face early Sunday morning in Cleveland over what police believe was a dice game gone bad.

Officers responded to the 10000 block of Lamontier Ave. around 3:30 a.m. after a 32-year-old man was shot.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Shaker Heights police arrested 35-year-old Charles Franklin a short time later in connection with a traffic stop where he pointed a gun at the officers.

Members of the Homicide Unit responded to the scene. The incident remains under investigation.

Police say two other people were shot in the face Saturday. One victim, 29, was shot in the 14100 block of St. Clair Ave. and taken to University Hospitals where he died. The other victim, 16, as was shot in the 3100 block of W. 32 St. He was taken to MetroHealth.

It was another violent weekend in Cleveland. A business owner was shot and killed during a robbery and a dead body was found burning a yard.
