CLEVELAND — May 9 would have been the 31st annual RiverSweep, Ohio's largest outdoor single-day cleanup efforts, but as with a lot of other things these days, the pandemic put a wrench in those plans.
A small group of volunteers still ventured out with their trash bags and gloves to pick up debris along the river and other green spaces throughout greater Cleveland.
The organizers are encouraging everyone to hold their own DIY RiverSweep.
They're hoping to hold a more traditional RiverSweep later this summer.
