CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Fire Department responded to a crash involving a car that slammed into an apartment building on the city’s East Side.

Crews responded to Superior Avenue at East 59th Street.
Neighbors said the driver and the passenger exited the vehicle and ran off.
While firefighters worked to remove the vehicle from the building, another car driving past the scene hit the side of a fire truck parked on the street.

The car didn't stop and fled the area, according to News 5's overnight news tracker.
There were no injuries reported inside the building.
