Wrong-way driver hits U-Haul truck on Innerbelt

A wrong-way driver hit a U-haul truck just after 3 a.m. on the Innerbelt Bridge.

According to Cleveland EMS, three people were transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

Police said the driver of a Ford Taurus was driving northbound in the southbound lanes of Interstate 71 when they collided with a U-haul van near the end of the Innerbelt Bridge.

The right lanes of I-71 southbound were closed for about an hour while crews provided first aid to the victims and towed the vehicles.

No word on where the driver entered the highway or if drugs or alcohol were involved.
