CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a person who fled a hit-skip crash that injured two people this week.

According to police, the crash happened Tuesday around 11 p.m. on Harvard Avenue near the stop light at Broadway Avenue.

Authorities say a 2020 Dodge Durango ran the red light and hit the side of a 2007 Pontiac G6 that was heading north through the intersection.

The impact caused the G6 to go off the road, across a sidewalk and then into a fence. The Durango stopped just past the intersection on Harvard Avenue, police said. The vehicle's two occupants were seriously injured.

The Durango’s driver, as well as possible passengers, fled the scene on foot, according to police. Authorities said a third vehicle may have been involved in the crash, but it wasn’t there when officers arrived.

Anyone who can identify the Durango’s driver pictured above is asked to call Cleveland police.
