CLEVELAND — Cleveland Indians manager Terry Francona will not manage the team Sunday in Minnesota due to a minor gastrointestinal condition not related to COVID-19, a spokesperson for the Indians confirmed.

The club announced his absence following his pregame media briefing via video conference from Target Field, ESPN reports.

Francona returned to the team hotel. First-base coach Sandy Alomar will manage the team today with Kyle Hudson coaching first base.
