MEDINA, Ohio — A Medina man has been charged for the shooting deaths of his wife and mother-in-law.
According to police, Robert Dick, 52, is charged with one count of aggravated murder. Additional charges will be presented to a Medina County grand jury.
The identities of the individuals who were shot are Robert Dick’s wife, Pamela Dick, 46, and his mother-in-law, Lillian Cox, 84.
Around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to a home in the 600 block of Lafayette Road for a shooting following a phone call from a juvenile who said his father just shot his mother and grandmother, police said.
The Medina County SWAT team was called up and made entry into the home where the two women were found dead. The suspect wasn’t on the premises.
Dick’s pickup truck was later found in West Salem. A manhunt ensued and Dick was found in the woods near Dragway 42. He was taken into custody without incident, authorities said.
Dick is currently being held in the Medina County Jail.
“Our condolences go out to all the family members affected by the senseless violence,” police said.
