CLEVELAND — Meijer is opening three locations Tuesday across Northeast Ohio.
Meijer is opening the following locations:
- Avon Meijer— Nagel Road and I-90
- Mentor Meijer—9200 Mentor Avenue
- Stow Meijer— Kent Road and Fishcreek Road
The stores have created more than 900 jobs, approximately 300 in each community.
Despite staggering declines for some brick-and-mortar stores across the country, the family-owned, Michigan-based company has continued to find success in a changing retail landscape.
The 155,000-square-foot supercenters will feature produce, meat and dairy delivered seven days a week and a bakery offering bread and other items baked four times daily. The stores will also feature a pharmacy offering the company’s free prescription program, which includes leading oral generic antibiotics with a special focus on prescriptions most often filled for children.
The first day of business at each store will start with a ribbon cutting. The retailer will feature special promotions and events at each store beginning on Sunday, May 19.
