CLEVELAND — News 5 anchor Danita Harris was recognized by MetroHealth with a “SHEROE” Award for her work with S.H.I.N.E., a spiritually based organization that helps women achieve their goals.
Harris, the founder of S.H.I.N.E., was one of six women recognized for their work in the community at the Women@Metro committee member luncheon on Wednesday.
This year, Harris expanded the S.H.I.N.E. program with “S.H.I.N.E. Girlz,” which empowers and teaches girls life skills in a supportive group setting.
