ASHLAND, Ohio — Due to COVID-10 concerns car shows are unable to meet as usual with large groups of people gathering around to check out the flashy vehicles, so the Ashland Cruise has found a way to bring the car show to spectators while socially distancing.

Each week, Ashland Cruise begins at the Tractor Supply Company on Claremont Avenue, getting together drivers of classic cars, trucks and even a few semis.

The cars cruise down a parade-like route and end at Smetz’s Tire & Service Center on East Main Street.

Spectators can park in parking lots along the route and check out the cars.

Those who attend the socially distanced car show are encouraged to grab take out from a local restaurant to enjoy while watching the car cruise.

Last Saturday, Ashland Cruise drew in more than 130 cars to participate.

Information on the car cruises is posted each week on the Ashland County Pictures Facebook page.
