In June, Shawn Grate was sentenced to death for killing Stacey Stanley Hicks and Liz Griffith.
Several Ashland residents, along with people who knew the victims, watched the tear down and took pictures.
Ashland's mayor said he's working with the family members to create a memorial for the victims that may include a tree, a marker and a bench.
