ASHTABULA COUNTY, Ohio — Three people have been indicted in Ashtabula County for drug overdose deaths in the city in 2019.
On Nov. 17, Brett Sasso was found dead by family members.
Toxicology results showed a lethal amount of carfentanil in his system.
Authorities arrested Jordan Peters for selling the heroin and carfentanil to him.
She has been charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter, corrupting another with drugs and five counts of trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound.
In separate case, the Ashtabula Grand Jury indicted two people who were allegedly involved in the overdose death of Eric Rivers on September 26, 2019.
Toxicology results showed that he had a lethal amount of both methamphetamine and fentanyl in his blood stream.
Dwayne Turnquist was indicted on two counts of involuntary manslaughter, corrupting another with drugs and trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound.
David Bradnan was indicted on two counts of involuntary manslaughter, corrupting another with drugs and aggravated trafficking in drugs.
According to court records, Turnquist and Bradnan each allegedly provided Rivers with one of the drugs that caused his death.
No court dates have been announced for either case.
