A body that was found on the shore of Lake Erie along the Ohio-Pennsylvania border has been identified as 55-year-old Roger Burton.
Burton had been missing since his boat capsized on November 6, 2016, near Fairport Harbor.
Tom Despenes, an investigator for the Ashtabula CO Coroner confirmed the body using dental records and surgical scars.
Conneaut police were contacted at 9:17 a.m. on January 14 by the Pennsylvania State Police Girard Barracks for a report.
Authorities say a man walking near the water's edge spotted the body about 30 feet south of Lake Erie.
Drowning appears to be the cause of death, but officials are waiting for confirmation.
