Severe thunderstorms leave thousands without power across Northeast Ohio

Thousands across Northeast Ohio are without power Monday following severe storms that hit much of Northeast Ohio Sunday.

More than 16,000 customers are without power in Summit County following the severe thunderstorms, according to FirstEnergy.

Around 1,462 customers in Cuyahoga County and more than 6,000 residents in Summit County are without power.

Hundreds of others are still waiting to have their power restored from earlier storms across Northeast Ohio.
