Troopers investigating fatal motorcycle crash in Geneva

GENEVA, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash in Geneva.

The crash happened after 11 p.m. on Saturday on State Route 513 east of Myers Road.

A red 2017 Ford F-150 was driving northeast on State Route 531 and was attempting to turn left into a private driveway.

Jeffrey Ambrose, 61, was riding a maroon 1992 Harley Davidson, when he attempted to pass two vehicles and hit the rear of the truck.

Both the driver and a passenger were ejected from the motorcycle.

They were not wearing helmet.

The driver and passenger of the truck were not injured.

The passenger of the motorcycle was flown to University Hospital in unknown condition.

Ambrose was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
