SOLON, Ohio — Teachers at a daycare in Solon reported to police that a 1-year-old child brought a bag of marijuana into the building earlier this month.

The teachers at Kindercare on Kruse Road reported to police on the afternoon of Feb. 21 that a child was dropped off by a guardian, and as the child exited the vehicle, an employee saw the child holding a plastic bag. The employee assumed it was the child’s breakfast.

A short time later, the child dropped the bag, and another child picked it up., the Solon police news release states. There was an argument between the children.

The employees than contacted Solon police, child services and the child’s guardian.

The child’s guardian was adamant that the child did not have the bag of marijuana before being dropped off at Kindercare, police stated.

The case was referred to city prosecutors, who determined that was not probable cause to make an arrest.
