An 11-year-old boy who stole his parents' SUV -- for the second time -- and led police on a high-speed chase before crashing it earlier this month was placed on house arrest with an electronic monitor at his arraignment on Wednesday morning.

The 11-year-old boy, who is not being named because he is a juvenile, denied charges of failure to comply, a felony of the third degree, grand theft, a felony of the fourth degree, and criminal damaging or endangering, a misdemeanor of the first degree, according to court documents from the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas Juvenile Division. The boy was placed in the care of his mother.

On Nov. 4, the 11-year-old took a Dodge Durango from his parents' driveway and led police on a chase through parts of Brooklyn and Cleveland, reaching speeds over 70 mph, police said.

Investigators said the boy stole the car after his mother took away his PlayStation.

In a police report, authorities confirmed this same boy, when he was 10, led Ohio State Highway Patrol on a 100 mph chase last fall. He crashed into a ditch while trying to get away from officers who boxed him in, preventing him from reentering the highway. He told troopers that he was bored and decided to take the car for a ride, according to the report.

The 11-year-old boy has a continued pre-trial hearing scheduled for Friday, Dec. 7 at 9 a.m. in the courtroom of Magistrate Peter Murray.
