BAY VILLAGE, Ohio — A Northeast Ohio city has been ranked in the top 10 on WalletHub's 2019 Best Beach Towns to Live In list, which ranks best ocean and lake beach towns across the United States to live in.
Bay Village on Cleveland’s West Side was ranked No. 10 on the list of best lake beach towns in the country.
In order to determine the best beach towns in the United States, WalletHub compared 192 cities across six different categories:
- Affordability
- Weather
- Safety
- Economy
- Education & Health
- Quality of Life
With low housing costs, warmer lake water temperatures and a low violent crime rate, Bay Village scored their spot among the top 10 lake beach towns.
Rocky River came in high on the list as well, ranking No. 12. Vermilion and Ashtabula also found themselves on the list of best lake beach towns, at No. 24 and No. 39 respectively.
Traverse City, Michigan was ranked No. 1, according to WalletHub.
